New server for Nova and Tibia Convention 2003 |

|
 esterday we replaced the server for Nova by a more powerful hardware. Now, up to 900 players can join Nova. The next upgrade will be done for the overrun web server and more game worlds are planed.
The deadline for the applications to the official Tibia Convention 2003 is over. A team around our gamemaster Taghor will arrange it. The convention takes place near Koblenz (Germany) at August 2003. We look forward to meet again a lot of players there. Other teams can still sent us an application if they can ensure a good organisation in other countries.

Minor Update to Version 7.01 |

|
 ne month and a half after the release of the new client we are going to perform a minor update with several bugfixes and some minor add-ons.
Talking: Spells will now always go to the default channel, and thus be effective in the game. You can ignore yells and private messages; see the checkboxes in the ignore dialog. You can start a conversation more quickly by double-clicking on the VIP list. And for our Swedish, Spanish, or French players: The client now supports the complete ISO-8859-1 font with all special chars contained in these languages.
Combat-System: The logout block is prolonged for attacker and defender after every strike or shot, no matter if it hits. Players cannot summon or convince more than two monsters, and they will vanish when their master logs out or dies. Animate Dead or Undead Legion, however, always works.
User Interface: During the login process, you will receive some information about the state of the connection. There are no snapbacks any more when you are walking using the cursor keys. In the advanced graphics options you can confine the framerate and thus the processor usage. The buttons for the combat tactics are colored. And the scrollbars will move repeatedly when you keep the arrows pressed.
You don't have to download a new client version. Instead your client will be updated automatically when you login next time. However, if the update process does not work correctly for you, you can download the complete version 7.01 from the download section. If you are using the "old client", no update is necessary.

Next updates and hacking prevention |

 urrently we work on a client patch, some bugfixes at the server, and a new game world where you can't kill other players (non-PvP-server). Watch these news for more details in the next days.
Again we have to point out some general behavior pattern to protect yourself from getting hacked:
 Do not tell any player or gamemaster ever your account number or password! Do not share or buy accounts, you can be tricked!
Do not enter your password or account number at other homepages beside this one! Do not login into any other server except ours at cipsoft.com or tibia.com!
Do not install software you get from friends or start scripts, they could be hacking tools! Use firewalls or anti-virus-tools!
Note that we never restore any lost items or skills. Also we will not remove banishments if someone else misuses your account!

Several small changes for Amera |

|
 mera is now accessible for free account players and tomorrow we will rise the player limit a bit, so more players can join it. There are three boards at our forum related to this new world.
You can create now up to 15 characters in your account to be able to have some for each game world if you like. New characters can't have anymore some special letters like 'ä', 'ö', 'ü', or 'ß' in their names.
We solved the login problems several players (e.g. AOL users) had at their account page or at the forum. Note that a login at our homepage is valid until you close your browser, you logout, or you haven't accessed a new account or forum page for 45 minutes.

New world Amera |

 oday we have launched a new world, Amera. It is located in the United States, so that all players in America, Australia, and Asia will experience a better gameplay with less lag.
In order to avoid an overcrowded Rookgaard, we have limited the world to 200 premium players. With players leaving towards the continent, we will increase this limit step by step and also admit players with free accounts during the next days.
By the way, players with Premium Accounts can now change the gender of their characters, if they made a mistake when creating them. To do so, log into your account and click on "Change character sex". There is a small fee of 5 days premium time for this "operation", so that players don't do this "just for fun".
