Glasses
"I see so many people squinting it's not even funny. I can't help but notice it, and I can't help but ask them if they aren't wearing their glasses. Most often the answer I get is "yes". I see so many smart, attractive people who occaisionally wear their glasses if they really need them, to read and so forth, but who don't wear them the rest of the time even though they need them. I watch these people clumsily bump into things and almost get into car accidents, all for the sake of vanity. And these people aren't even that vain - they're not starving themselves to look like supermodels, getting collagen injected into their lips or bleaching all of the natural color out of their hair- they seem to have some sense of what's rational and what's not. So why do they go to such lengths? Because glasses are seen as the worst of all evils: i.e. if you wear glasses you're gonna be ugly and unliked no matter what, but if your breasts aren't augmented it's OK. Where does this logic come from? Years of propaganda against glasses, honey."

Go to that site. It is pretty interesting and worth taking a bit of a look around. Then comment here.
I bring it up because I have been thinking about getting contacts and am not sure that I want the bother or if it will be worth while.
It's just that I can't help but thinking that I would look so much more natural without my glasses.
Oh well, read it and tell me what you think.
