January 2003

I spent Christmas at home with my family, it was nice to be back in my own bed without the lumpy mattress, and to indulge in some decent home cooking......

On the December 27th I went up to Yorkshire to spend the New Year with my boyfriend, Ian. We had a great time despite the fact that I spent a couple of days being sick and moping around with a bug that he very kindly gave me......

This little piggy went to market.....

        Spot the difference!

Back to University and the sophisticated joys of Ramsay Hall....

Hair, Alcopops, Cider and black, Pvc trousers, Camden Lock Market, The Young Ones....... the joys of being a student.

Charlotte Dingle's shiny bottom!

This term is likely to be just as busy as my first - I already have two concerts lined up in the next couple of weeks, one with the Symphony Chorus on 28th January in the Bloomsbury Theatre, and a charity concert in the Windeyer building with the Jazz Society on January 10th. Last weekend I went to the Bloomsbury without treading the boards for once, seeing Ricky Gervais perform his 'Animals' stand-up show, which I personally thought was hilarious. I'd definitely recommend you take a look at the DVD / Video when it comes out later this year...

Then there's the little matter of academic work - texts I'm currently studying include Wordsworth's Prelude, and Bleak House by Charles Dickens. I'm getting on fine with the course, although I find much of it challenging, I'm confident that I'm on track to get through the end of year exams - well, maybe not when it comes to the Old English module, but we'll forget about that for now...

This term ends on 28th March and I'll be back home for approximately one month, hope to catch up with people then.

Hope 2003 is a great year for you all.
