| Time was passing in West Wanton. The wizard and his pet were becoming increasingly happy together. Everyday - there was something new. Just little things that were binding them closer to each other. But this day was different. Today was Pet's birthday. The wizard put his hand on Pet's shoulder and said "Well my little one - is there anything nice that you would like for your birthday?" |
| Pet looked at the wizard in amazement. She had completely forgotten that it was her birthday. She was just too happy to be with him in West Wanton. How did he know it was her birthday? Stupid thought - of course he would know - my Master knows everything. But she must answer his question. |
| "Well Sir" she said. Thinking to herself that the one thing that she would really like is a new necklace. These feathers - though ever so beautiful continued to get up her nose and make her sneeze. Putting that thought aside she replied. "I would really like a new bed Sir - this little cot is quite uncomfortable and lumpy in places. "Mmmmm" she went on - babbling as usual - speaking the thoughts as they entered her head. "A nice, new, big bed - soft and comfy". mmmmm |
| The wizard looked at his pet and questioned her with a smile on his face. "Now why would you want a big bed - are you planning on doing any entertaining?" He chuckled to himself as she seemed so embarrassed. Then he added "Ok, my Pet - I would be happy to grant you your hearts desire. As she ran up the castle stairs to view her Surprise the wizard thought to himself - I will give the necklace some serious thought - but what to change to feathers too?!!?? |
