First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE!!!! He'll never read this, but whatever. I've decided this entire site needs to be changed. It's no longer....me. *sigh* Anyway, I'm currently a resident of Guelph! Woot! I also played an open mic at L/A last Tuesday. It went well :) Aunt Wendy's wedding in August was quite the performance...lmao Dad and I chose our songs the night before, and I forgot the words all over the place, but we covered well. Apparently it sounded good. *shrug*

Friday's gig went well! It was a lot of fun, and I met some incredible people. Thanks so much to the Drama daycamp at Scadding Court Community Centre! It was a lot of fun!! (Thanks Olivia for thinking of me!!) I was happy with the way I played, and it was an awesome experince that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I have gig info!! Finally! It's at this community centre at Dundas and Bathurst in Toronto. Unfortunately, it's not open to public. Anyway, it's for 250 kids at this drama day thing for their camp, and they're gonna pay me! I couldn't believe it, I thought it was free! haha! *is a happy camper*

YES!! High school is finally over. It was a blast at NT; thank you guys for putting up with me for four years!! Can you believe it?? I actually have some NEWS relevent to MUSIC. Ok, first off, I'm going to be singing at my Aunt's wedding on the August long weekend! It's going to be so sweet. My dad and I will be doing a duet or two but we're not yet sure exactly which songs. I also have a solo gig coming up on July 25th! I'll be playing two original songs at a day camp during their Drama Day. It's going to be a lot of fun, and a totally new experience for me! I'll be on the lookout for gigs all summer...so if anyone's got connections, hook it up! Otherwise, I'll probably be harassing restaurant owners and such. *lol*

I got a new toy today - a webcam!! I'm so excited! It's just too much fun...I've also been a scan-demon tonight. I scanned a bunch of prom photos and some photos from Canadian Idol as well. These can be found in the Gallery as always.

I added new stuff! I added some new pictures to the gallery. This week was my last full week of high school! I can smell freedom, it's so close. I also got the rest of my prom photos developed, so I'll be putting them up this weekend.

Hey hey!! Ok, so...as you can see I haven't been updating much...the reason: I've been busy as hell. Ok, so here goes...
First off, I had a solo in my school's spring concert at the beginning of the month which went extremely well! I'm so happy with my performance. Secondly, I went to nationals with my choir, jazz choir and stage band last weekend, and we recieved a gold and two silvers respectively! Woot woot! Go us!! Thirdly, I tried out for Canadian Idol this week! It was actually the most amazing experience! I mean, I ended up waiting in line for a total of 20 hours, but it was well worth it! I met so many amazing people. I made it past the first round, but not the second, unfortunately, but it was awesome, and I'll definitely be back next year! I'm starting preparations now. *lol* So, if anyone has any song suggestions, please post them on my message board. The judge told me I needed to work on my breathing. *makes mental note to start doing vocal exercises* What else is new...well, I had my prom last night!! I felt like a total princess. I'm running on 2 hours of sleep right now haha! Hugh, you're party rocked. I have no clue how much I drank, but I only spent 2 dollars! (Thank you Jesse and Leah)
Ok, well that's it, I guess. I can't think of anything else I've missed...meh.

I have created a yahoo group to sorta use as a message board. I'd love to hear from you there! Haha, I feel like I'm really getting ahead of myself, but it sounded like fun and a lot of my other musician friends have one, so here we are! I'll be posting lyrics, pictures, sounds, polls, etc. (and I hope to see/hear some of yours too!) It'll be kinda like an extention to this site. Enjoy!
In other news...I'M GOING TO UNIVERSITY!!!!!!!! I got an acceptance letter from my top choice, the University of Guelph, this morning!!!!!! Mum came into my room and woke me up at 9:30 with the mail! Not only did I get into my first choice, but I got into co-op and I recieved a $2000 entrance scholarship! I can't believe it - I'M SO EXCITED! Oh, there is a book reading review of mine published in this week's issue of the Badgerstaff Wheneverly (SBMB newspaper) as well!

WOOT!!!! I got a solo!!!! I am now officially the proud owner of a solo in our school concert - Maytime Melodies! It's part of the Swing Era medley. Very exciting.

Some site updates...I've added a whole whack of new pics and I've switched all my pic files from the main site to a yahoo thing. V. exciting.
I just got back from Spain and France two weeks ago!! I went over March Break with my school, and it was just incredible! I came home totally relaxed and rejuvinated (altho, there was no sleeping going on overseas). I added pics from the trip today as well, so go to the gallery to see them. No new performance dates have been scheduled, altho the meeting I mentioned in my last post went well. It wasn't perfect, but people seemed to like it anyway. *lol* I'm sending out my audition form to Canadian Idol on Monday (tomorrow) - I can't wait! I hope I make it passed the first round *bites nails*.

WOOT!!! Last night was the fashion show! It went incredibly well! I was impressed :) Hopefully I'll be able to get some pics up. I'm feeling so confident in my music right now! Everyone is so supportive! I love you all!!!!!
I now have another performance coming up. It's on Wednesday at lunch. I'll be playing at the War on Iraq info thing at school, and I'm honoured to have been asked! (Thanks Joe) Not only that, but on Wednesday I leave for France and Spain! Woohoo!!!! I have a feeling this will be a great day.

Wow! It's been a crazy couple of months!~ Our school fashion show 'Seasons' is coming up next Friday! I'm singing and modelling in the show, so I'm extremely excited about it! Also, Stage Band made it to NATIONALS!!!!! Go us!! That goes on in May in Toronto. *squee* My friends and I have started a band, and we had our first rehearsal last weekend! Bassist, Ben, wrote this wicked bass-line, so I'm working on some lyrics for that tune. I hope we can get that one together soon - it's sop amazing! Ben rocks my sox. What else is new? Erm...I'm going to France and Spain from the 6th-15th on March! WOOT! Tres, tres cool. I'm so excited, but the plane ride's making me a wee bit nervous. Anyway, I'm signing off here! (*BEN, we must get the layout done ASAP. Call me.*)
