This my dears, is Mr Patrick Steinfort, also known as the funniest guy on the planet. No, I don't know this awesome guy personally, but still I think he's great.
In the 2000 AFL season, the name 'Paddy' meant very little to me. I knew that we had a number 18 in the Richmond VFL side, and I knew his last name was Steinfort.
In November 2001, my perception began to change. I attended an exhibition "good fun" day where a few Richmond players competed in a cricket match. Paddy was one of these players. Such a good bloke is our Paddy, that he said hello to us whilst he was fielding, it was a nice gesture that will never be forgotten.
Since then I have followed Paddy's career more closely, especially his occasional media stints on Sport 927's Tiger's Club Corner. It was here where Paddy's natural sense of humour became most apparent. Paddy, along with his sidekick Dragga have become football's version of Batman and Robin, in the humour stakes at least. These two are pure comic genius together, however Paddy is still in a league of his own as an individual.
Paddy is yet to play a senior game. However, he is without a doubt my second favourite Richmond player. After all Paddy is a "good bloke", and what would we do without the "good blokes" of football?
