Whitchurch Festival
Sadly the Whitchurh festival hardly gets any coverage in the press and the people who run it do not advertise it, so effectively you can only get there if you have an invitation or if you are in one of the email lists of people associated with the festival. England's progressive rock festival, it beats all other rock festivals by a mile. If you thought the world has crumbled to dust, you'll find a few musical gems here. Including the UK's most undeservedly unknown rock band, the Haze, known confusingly also as World Turtle, Treebeard, Strongheart and by countless other names. If you thought you keep seeing the same guys whenever you go to watch a band, it's them. Here's a couple of pictures from the 2001 festival:
The first ever gig of the Martin Orford Band
The
Flower Kings, the Swedish rock band to put to shame all rock bands.
Roine Stolt (Flower Kings)
Hans Froeberg (Flower Kings)

A day of freewheeling and subversive activity

On the wings to India
A musical journey.
The next best thing to actually getting there.
