They seek me out
To fix their lives
Then accuse me
For all their strifes
They call on me
In times of need
Then throw me away
Like a rotten seed
They say that I
Uphold the truth
Then call me a liar
And names uncouth
They expect me
To catch the bad guys
But if they get caught
I hear grumbles and sighs
They expect me
To know everything
And if they ask
To get up and sing
But how is this possible?
I tell you, it’s not.
I can only do
What I’ve been taught
They expect me
To be kind and caring
Yet on the street
Tough and daring
With all I’ve seen
It’s hard to do
But do it I must
And my co-workers, too
Patience I have
And have in mass
I’m a breed apart
Of an LEO class.
