Dance Dance Revolution

Misc.
Playstation/Dreamcast/Arcade
1 to 2 players
Graphics: For the consoles, the graphics are pretty good, as far as the dancing steps go, but on the Arcade version, the graphics blow my mind. As you dance, the backround flashes and fades and changes into a new backround, and little things swirl around! Its awesome!

Sound: The game revolves around sound, so if this was low, then the game would royaly suck. The songs are excelent, and a lot of them are songs that you would sing all day in your head. That can be good, and bad. o.-

Gameplay: This game plays well. There’s not much to say about this type of game. There isn’t a story, its just dancing..

Controls: You buy a 20-60 dollar playing mat, that has X,O,Square,Triangle and the D-Pad. You step on the arrows as they correspond on the screen. You can just play in the arcade a bunch of times for cheeper then buying a mat and the game ^.~

Replayability: You can replay this game over and over and over. You can try to master each song, and then..the game is just practice for the other mixes in the arcade. The only game out in America for the consoles is Dance Dance Revolution USA, but they also have DDR 2nd Mix, DDR 3rd Mix, DDR 4th Mix, DDR 5th Mix, DDR Disneys Rave and many, many more.

Fun: If you like getting yo’ groove on, then this is the game for you. You can dance a bit better, and its fun going head to head with a friend. Freestyling is a type of dancing they have in the DDR Competitions. You try to incorporate smooth moves into your dancing, like full circles. This game is very popular.
