Super Smash Brothers

Party/Fighting
Nintendo 64
Up to 4 players

Graphics: This game has wonderful graphics. Especially when you use a special move. The shock of Pikachu’s Thunder, or Link’s Spinsword dazzles the eye. I like to pause the game when using a special move, and you can move the control stick around, looking at the move from different angles. You can even pause it in a strange position that the character is in. ^^

Sound: The sound in this game is very good. The sound depends on the level you are in. If you are dying to hear the Star Fox theme, then fight apon the Star Fox Ship Level. If you are craving some Pokétunes, they play in Saffron City. The sound is one of the good features of this fun fighting game.

Gameplay: The story is strange. You choose one of the nintendo characters to fight with, and go to story mode, (aka; one player). There, you must defeat all of the other characters, and then fight the mysterious Master Hand, that appeared out of nowhere. They should have had animated cutscenes, showing the characters, but I guess we’ll have to wait for Super Smash Brothers Melee on the Gamecube to see that.

Controls: Its just like normal fighting games, if you are used to Mortal Combat, this will be a walk in the park. You’ll have to practice once or twice to get used to the combinations of the game; but its very easy to catch onto.

Replayability: This game has a mild replay value. You play the game through four times to access the hidden characters; Jigglypuff,Luigi,Ness and C. Falcon, and then to get the hidden Mushroom Kingdom stage. After that, one player mode is just training for when you are going against friends.

Fun: This game is very fun by yourself, trying to beat the game with one character, (Ness is my favorite). Its even better with one, two or even Three friends. This game is the ultimate party game for the N64, besides the Mario Party Trilogy, in my opinion.
