Castlevania: Circle of the Moon

RPG/Adventure
Game Boy Advance
1 Player

Graphics: This is the best launch game for the GBA, hands down. It may possibly be the best game out, for the GBA so far. The Game Boy Advance has amazing graphics, and this game is no exception. The Grahpics are that of most 3-D Playstation games. Very Good.

Sound: The sounds in this game are very good and eerie. I especially like the chanting in the title screen. Who’s chanting? We’ll never know. The tunes in the actual gameplay are good after the first few days of listening, then they just get downright annoying.

Gameplay: The game doesn’t play like a normal RPG, but it has to be classified as one, because it has HP,MP, and the ability to equip and dequip Weapons. Its not turn based. You’re Nathan Graves, and you hold a whip. You whip monsters to kill them. They die, and give away sometimes an item, and rarely a DSS Card. Cards can be combined to make special abilities for Nathan, such as the Fire Whip with Mercury and Salamander.

Controls: In this game, the controls are good. One button whips, the L button turns on the DSS Card Ability, one button jumps, and you move with the D-Pad. Simple as that. The controls are easy to master.

Replayability: The Replay Value in C: COTM is high. After you beat the game once, there are 4 more modes of play after. Magician,Fighter,Shooter and Thief. Each mode makes the game a bit more challenging, and fun.

Fun: This game is awesome. Its just fun to watch a man whip a monster and see it die. Its the best game for the GBA, like I said, so if you have a GBA, and you didn’t get this game, get it before more people realize about it, and it’s sold out.
