Vin's Life Story

"There was never a Plan B. You have to live a Plan A—on any level. Make it a lower case “A” if you have to, but live your Plan A. Anything else belittles the importance of life."

Vin got into acting after trying to graffitti old buildings in his New York neighborhood*nice job, Vin* "Seven years old. Terrorizing the neighborhood on my banana-seat bike. I got six guys with me. Go to a place on Jane Street [in Manhattan] called the Jane Street Hotel. A seedy hotel in Manhattan. Next to the hotel is a theater called Theater for the New City. We went into this theater and started vandalizing this theater. This woman, this formidable woman comes out of darkness into a spotlight, stands in the light and says, "Get over here, kid." She shoves this script in our face. "Be here everyday at four p.m.," gave us all twenty dollars. And that's how it all started. That was the first time I was ever able to make an audience laugh without getting sent to the dean's office." - IGN Interview

He then realized his love for acting and tried a few off broadways plays, but many unsuccessful attempts landed him a job as a bouncer at the popular club "The Tunnel" and went to Hunter U. where he studied English and then wrote(as well as directed and acted in)Strays*the movie I know nothing about:)* and then acted in Multi Facial, which landed him at the Cannes Film Festival while Strays competed at Sundance. His acting in Multi Facial won acclaim and attention from Stephen Spielberg, who specifically wrote the part of Private Adrian Caparzo for Vin.

More recently he has starred in Pitch Black as Richard B. Riddick, a serial murderer who proves himself as a human being by saving his fellow passengers from whacked out aliens whose only weakness is light. He then moved on to play a convincing stock brocker in Boiler Room and in the Fast and the Furious he portrays the leader of a car racing group who runs a risky operation of truck-jackings(is that even a real word?)in California.*I know my lil summarys suck a but just smile and nod ok?*

2 films, Knockaround Guys and Diablo are going to be released in the latter half of 2001, and sequels to Pitch Black, the Fast and the Furious AND Diablo(who is expected to become another box office hit)are in the works.
