I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the guy who submitted you the Tony Gets Sky-High animation (the crappy one in which a guy tokes his joint and his head blows off his body) years ago. We had a bit of correspondence when you were just starting up Newgrounds.com. I know you're an extremely busy guy, and you've got plenty of things on mind to worry about.
I don't want to add another burden to your shoulder, but I'm a longtime fan of Newgrounds.com and I feel that I need to speak out about the lack of flash animations with subtitles or captioning to accommodate the Deaf population.
I run this site called THE SILENT TRUTH. It's an advocacy website for the rights of Deaf people. We Deaf people make up a significant number of the population, and we really want to be a part of the general community without losing our culture and identity. In order to achieve that, we need to speak out for more accommodations in order to include - not exclude - us.
THE SILENT TRUTH may come off as aggressive and malicious towards hearing people, but it's just to make a statement and a wake-up call for people - both Deafies and Hearies. The point is that - we HATE the oppression that the uneducated hearing people bestowed upon us. We don't hate the hearing people at all. We all have a chance to learn about each other and work together.
The point is, I notice a tremendous lack of captioning and subtitles in the flash cartoons that your visitors submit. Some of them are wonderfully accommodating - they have text dialogue for everyone to read. But a majority of the rest of the cartoons have voice dialogue, without text of any kind.
I am asking you to please find a way to inform all of these aspiring flash artists to consider adding text dialogue alongside voice dialogue, to ensure that everyone understands their cartoons. There have been times when me and my friends have sighed in frustration whenever there's an awesome flash animation that someone submitted, but there's NO text dialogue to laugh at. We'd like that to be changed, and be a huge part of the NG experience
I would appreciate any feedback from you on this matter. We Deaf people do have a sense of humor, and we really want to be in on the fun of the cartoons featured in NG. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Its good to see that my views have effected you so deeply that you felt the need to write me personally. I cant tell you what an honor it is to receive hate mail from ignorant bigot such as yourself. As it is written, "To be cursed by the devil is to be truly blessed". Again I appreciate the effort but you are incorrect in a more than a few ways:
1)My IQ is actually tested and recorded at 183, so dim witted I am not. If you are letting my poor spelling skills be your key judgment tool for rating my intelligence please remember, Einstein couldn't tie his shoes.
2)6' 5" at 290 lbs is not fat. With a body fat percentage of 23% I would be more than capable of kicking your pity-filled ass from here to what ever sewer you crawled out from, but then again violence has never been my first approach to conflict. You might want to try being rational about things once in a while, you'd be amazed at the results.
3)The deaf are far from a repressed minority group but if feeling sorry for yourself helps you get through the day go for it.
4)I have better things to do than devote my life to a negative and hateful website, if my content isn't to your liking I suggest you don't come back to it.
5)I don't believe I posted anything false about you, ever. In fact all the lines I commented on were copy/pasted directly from your site. If you don't want people doing this I suggest you take the steps to prevent the use of the right mouse button. You know, like you have done with that wonderfully tasteful cartoon of the "deafie" pissing on Alexander Graham Bell's headstone. Very nice touch by the way, especially when you consider that he was a key advisor to Helen Keller during her life. Oh, but you knew that right? Uh huh....
6)Its nice that you took the time to go through every aspect of my website, even so far as to read the "all about me" section. Yes I was discharged from the military, honorably I might add (not that it matters but I take a certain amount of pride in it) and if you had paid attention you would have known I was in communications, not computer...oh well, it was a nice try though.
7)I would love to post my views on your new automated message board, however there is a problem with the fact that your site does not warrant my attentions. Sorry, you'll have to glean some publicity somewhere else.
8)Yes I certainly did make a poorly animated flash clip and it was all about you. Don't you feel special now. I hate to disappoint you but it received poor reviews because of its lack of effort, not its content. In I received an alarming amount of emails praising me for not being afraid to take a stand against ignorant hateful people such as yourself. If the message board at newgrounds still has your letter up I suggest going back and reading past the front page. You'll be interested to know that your "support" drops off considerably once people had the chance to read your content.
9) And of course there is the petty name calling and the 4th grade level insults about my manhood which only succeed in bumping your maturity rating down to that of a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. That's all good though, I suppose it really was a bit much to expect from someone that thinks the entire hearing population is coming to get him.
Well, I'm sorry but that's all the time I've got for you now, if I spend too much time thinking about poor unhearing Weston I find that my white upper-class hearing heart just cant take the pain of being exposed to such an abused, neglected and all around repressed minority such as yourself.

You got a few things wrong about me. Let me point these mistakes to you.
First, congratulations on your IQ level of 183! Wow! Actually, who cares? My judgment of your intelligence was based on your extreme ignorance and the lack of observance on my true ambitions. You apparently have never tried to see things from my point of view. I never said hearing people were out to get me! What a laugh. I'm only here to educate, through unconventional means. The old traditional ways of trying to get hearing people like you to listen have failed dismally - so I'm saying that we Deafies have to stop being weak and actually put our foot down for once and all.
I don't feel sorry for myself. On the contrary, I feel sorry for people like you, who are muddled down by your ignorance.
I simply established my website to point out the oppression that we face every single day in every possible detail. You have never been in our shoes as far as Deafness goes, so please be aware that you're in no place to judge me and my website. However, you do have the option to open your mind a notch or two and really take a good, hard look at my site. Your angry reaction to my website shows that you jumped to conclusions.
Secondly, you haven't done your homework on Alexander Graham Bell's true history when it came to his dealing with the Deaf community. I would suggest that you browse through your local bookstore and find some literature related to Deaf culture. I can recommend a few for you if you're interested. There are several references to the malicious things Bell has done to Deafies, and he was in cahoots with Deaf people - including Helen Keller - in order to try to destroy Deaf culture for good. He was a cultural parasite, who failed miserably in his attempt. I'm not going to go into details, because it'd take up a lot of paragraphs - which I don't have time for in my heavy schedule. So - talk to a few truly Proud Deaf people and read a few Deaf literature and you'll see the light.
And as for the stuff you posted in the newgrounds BBS, you edited certain content from my message board in order to make me look bad. You did that in order to win support from the few nutjobs that posted their praise of your miserable effort to sabotage the truth of my objectives. As for the BBS on the Silent Truth controversy - if you had checked like I did - it was taken down by Tom because he was tired of the hate mail he was receiving from hateful, ignorant fucks as yourself.
I don't give a damn about people copying and pasting from my website - because I don't believe in censorship. Which is fortunate for idiots like yourself. If I was the "Deaf Hitler" you accused me of being, I'd have put in the no-right-click html in every single page of my site. I did put that certain html in my site, only on certain pages that had copyrighted content that is held solely by The Silent Truth - which is only a few. As for my logo - so what if you made fun of it? I was only angry at the way you spread craftfully altered content of my website, which is offensive.
You claim my site doesn't warrant your attention - then why did you make it a personal mission of yours to try to degrade me and my site? Geez. Hypocrite.

All we want is RESPECT and EQUALITY, which are what we aren't getting in many cases.
