Anterograde Amnesia
What is Anterograde Amnesia?

It is the loss of memory from one point foreward. It is called anterograde or post-traumatic amnesia (PTA) following traumatic brain injury.

If both the hippocampus(converts new information into long term memory) and amygdala(one of four ganglia in cerebral hemisphere and a part of the limbic system) are damaged, consolidated memories are not lost, but new sensory input cannot be associated with old ones.

A person lives in the moment. They don't remember what happened 10 seconds ago.
