Real American Heros.

Long before Jessica Lynch, firefighters, and other so called hero's, there were Real American Hero's. They were actually men, because during this time women weren't given hero status. These real heroes were people that not matter what the cost, would defend their country to their last breath. People that gave you a 110% everyday, without having to ask for it. They were motivated, smart, usually good looking and could bench press a Buick. When someone was in trouble you could count on them to be there, and help. Seeing that people are forgetting these great American men, I thought I would put it on me to bring a few of these people back into the spotlight, and hopefully refuel their legacy.

Milli Vanilli: When first thinking of writing this article, they were the first people that popped into my head. Now I don't know if they ever saved any lives during their career, but I do know they set a great example that it doesn't matter if you can't sing, you can still be a POP Icon. If these two would have never been exposed as great lip singers, we would have never had the likes of Britney Spears, Lizzy Maguire, N'Sync, and the majority of new artist. They brought hope into these artists when they were kids, if you look good you can be a music powerhouse. Milli Vanilli were great dancers and had style better than Hammer. They looked good, but couldn't sing to save their life, but they made a great career and now we are forever in their debt for leading the way for future generations of singers that can't sing, but look good trying. If you don't believe this is a great gift, than in the words of my hero's "Blame it on the rain."

Darkwing Duck: When there's trouble you call DW. Darkwing Duck is the definition of a Hero. He saved scores of people from henchmen such as Bushroot and Megavolt. He didn't even have to do this, he saved the human race, and he was a DUCK. With the catch phrase "I am the terror that flaps in the night..." he scared many would be villains straight and also put Batman to shame at the same time. Darkwing never once strayed from danger, it was his middle name. Jessica Lynch was captured, obviously meaning she wasn't trying to fight to her death, she is a pussy. Darkwing would have captured all the Iraqis and than disappeared in a cloud of smoke. A real American hero was that Darkwing, such that he is now working for the Department of Defense, and knowing that I can go to sleep at night.

MacGyver: MacGyver was my idol, still is. Probably the smartest man alive, and the most dangerous man in the world, and he doesn't even use a gun. There isn't a person alive that could convince me that MacGyver is not the greatest man to ever walk this planet. MacGyver was a forced to be stopped, and well no one could stop him. It is a good thing he is on our side, or we would have on bad guy that would be unstoppable. How could anyone disagree with me, the man made a bomb out of a pinecone... A PINECONE. If that doesn't impress you, maybe the fact that he once patched a plane that was un-flyable with some random concoction he made up in 5 MINUTES. There was an episode that MacGyver was captured, but was he down for long... NO. This man could take out an army without ever firing a gun. We could have sent him in to Iraq alone, and he would have come back within the hour with Saddam captured and the war over. He is the definition of a badass, and we can only aspire to be as good as this American Hero.

These people are the definition of hero's. It's so easy to be considered a hero today, run into a burning building save a few people, be a soldier, save a kid from drowning, kill a mexican, repeal a car tax, it's like we just want to give the title to anyone. I won't sink down to that level though, you must be better or equal to the aforementioned hero's, to gain my acceptance as an American hero. Long live the legacy of these Real American Hero's.
