Once you've learnt all the moves you can find, is it all over? Hell no! I thought I was the best once I could throw the Sern Jit Gwun/nunchaku all over my body for half an hour without dropping and with speed and precision. I never slacked off n continued repeating the moves until they were TOTALLY second nature. Suddenly one day I overslept and suffered from fatigue, I accidentally let go of the Sern Jit Gwun/nunchaku when training. I was scared I'll break any of the surroundings so... |
....I tried to stay with the pair of Sern Jit Gwun/ nunchaku. Luckily I caught it. This sparked off a whole new field of moves and made me so much more proficient. The SPINNING manoeuvre enables the nunchaku to go in any direction even faster and is more unpredictable than ever before. I am currently fusing my Sern Jit Gwun/ nunchaku style with my Shaolin Gung-Fu. I currently discover & practice the more advanced skill of controlling the nunchaku without hands whilst spinning. |
ONE ADVANTAGE FOR ME IS THAT I LEARNT
ALL D BASICS MYSELF SO MY MIND IS SET TO REALISING/DISCOVERING RATHER THAN
COPYING. TRY NOT TO COPY BUT INVENT YOUR OWN MOVES AND CHAINS, IT AIDS IN
DEVELOPING YOUR MINDSET WHICH IS A GREAT PLUS AS WELL. VARIETY VARIETY.
The following video shows the spark of a new technique which I discovered whilst
learning to spin my Sern Jit Gwun/Nunchaku without hands! I don't believe air
manoeuvres as in launching them in the air is practical though; nevertheless,
I still continue adding variations BUT don't all of u jump at d chance to copy,
learn self defence applications first then play with fancy spins if u MUST!!!
