Xenotropos was the name of a spaceship.

Or rather, it was a name I came up with for a homebrew role playing game world. It was a mess: a sort of world-hopping vague comedy centred around the good ship Xenotropos. The name itself is made up from bad Greek. I thought it meant “About the Alien” (followed usually by “I can explain...”). Later on some person from actual Greece who spoke the language properly informed me it means, “Of Alien Manufacture”.

Either one works for me.

When I first started posting things on the internet I was in between last names (a long complicated story by itself) so rather than use a name I'd have to alter later, I slammed this baby in it's place.

Now I'm sort of stuck with it. And... I'm okay with that.
