R.E.S.O.R.C.E. RECYCLING CLUB

2,500 pounds collected in 2006!

PHONE BOOK RECYCLING

PRESS RELEASE
The R.E.S.O.R.C.E. Recycling Club, Inc., in conjunction with various private and public entities is once again, for the second year, initiating its Telephone Directory Recycling campaign in Pasco County. President/Founder, Monica Dear, stated, "Since our first annual telephone directory recycling effort was so successful last year (2500 lbs. of phone books collected in one week even without a lot of prior advertisement), our members have decided to once again put forth the effort to encourage Pasco County residents to repeat that success. Since Pasco County is still experiencing an overflow problem in our incinerator, it seems appropriate to continue any, and all efforts, to divert trash from the incinerator and channel it to the appropriate recycling facilities".
Collections will begin on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 and continue until Saturday, June 30th, 2007 at the various locations listed below. The R.E.S.O.R.C.E. Recycling Club Inc., which is an all-volunteer organization, has already received approximately 25 directories before advertising has even begun! Club members will volunteer their time and any additional volunteers wishing to help in this drive are very much welcome and can contact the club at (727) 857-0039.
R.E.S.O.R.C.E. also has a website, www.resorce.net.
Various persons and businesses are instumental in getting this effort started again this year and we applaud them for their efforts: Rachel Surrency and Terry Falke of Pasco County Government, the Publix Supermarket Corporate office and their local stores, the Fox Hollow and Little Road Home Depots, the Verizon store at the Gulf View Square Mall, Accurate Waste Services for the much needed container, Stop and Play on Hwy. 19 in Port Richey, Richey Raquetball on Hwy. 19 in Port Richey, Oakview Terrace Assisted Living Facility on the corner of Rowan Road & Baillie Ave., Land-O-Lakes Recycling on Hwy. 41 in Land-O-Lakes and Space Age Signs on Hwy. 19, NPR. for all their help. (Note: Space Age signs is not one of our drop off locations).
We thank them all for getting us started again this year and for providing a basis for hopefully many more successful telephone book recycling drives in years to come.
