Impeach George W. Bush

I took a picture of this wall in Lima, Peru. The Spanish letters written in red can be translated as: “Solidarity with Iraq, Stop the Genocide of George W. Bush.” So I have just one quick question. How does it feel, as an American, to see that this is what other nations of the world think of your leader? Oh, and by the way, this sentiment is spray-painted all over the place down here.

This is the type of thing that doesn’t turn up a whole hell of a lot on American Television. Why is that? Could it be that the American media is too afraid to go after our president? Too afraid to hold him to the standard that the press is bound by civic duty to maintain? Or maybe the problem is that all of the major newspapers are owned by oil companies which are in turn making a shit-load of money with old W. in the white house.

But I’m confused by a couple of things, maybe there is somebody out there who can help me out. Why is it that Clinton was impeached for getting a blow-job, but nobody has brought charges up against W. despite the fact that there is strong evidence that he not only rigged the election, but fought an illegal war? You don’t have to be a brain scientist to think there is something wrong when the governor of the state that proves to be the deciding factor is the brother of the candidate that eventually wins...and there is problem after problem with counting the votes...and years after the election “lost” boxes of ballots continue to turn up. There is nothing confusing about it. This kind of stuff doesn’t happen by accident. It’s really suspicious.

You don’t have to dig too deep to see connections. You don’t have to look too hard to find cases of people who caused trouble for W. turning up dead. I can think of two off the top of my head and I’ve never even researched. These are bigger issues than a blow-job, maybe somebody should look into this.

Huh? Don’t you think? Doesn’t it make sense just to take a look? What harm can taking a look cause? Wouldn’t it only exonerate the innocent should that turn out to be the case?

Or is everybody too scared?

Or are they all content to sit back and get rich?

Because I am a proud American, I’d like to use my constitutionally granted right of freedom of speech to say that I’m starting to think the Republican party is pure evil. I remember when Clinton was in the White house and there was nothing but attack after attack after attack on his “questionable” character. That idiot Rush Limbaugh lead the way with his moronic brand of completely substanceless chatter that only gains whatever credibility it has through endless repetition. They don’t shut up. It was like a court case where the defense couldn’t form a full word without the persecution screaming “Objection!”.

Now the charges against Bush are a billion times greater and the silence is deafening. Why is that? Where are the accusations? Is it just that the democrats don’t stoop to the gutter tactics of the Republicans? Why wouldn’t they? Do they have too much respect for the intelligence of the American public to just blitzkrieg them with propaganda? That’s noble in theory, but the wrong guy is sitting in the white house.

I remember reading recently that a reporter got fired for calling Bush an “Idiot.” Since when did stating the truth become grounds for losing your job? George W. Bush is an idiot. He’s a raving, moronic, barely functional excuse for a human being. He’s doing more to destroy the traditional way of life than the whole history of terrorists in the world. He’s revoking civil rights and ignoring the due process and checks and balances that have made our nation strong. Why doesn’t anybody say anything?

And what about the illegal war? Does anybody really think that the war on Iraq was done to “help the people” of Iraq like the Bush clan constantly and repeatedly has said? There are a lot of places that the US could go to help people if that‘s what they really wanted to do. The billions of dollars they spent on the war could have created a lot of industry in the poor nations of the world. They could have set up factories, created commerce, brought food and pride to starving people. They could have done this in ten countries for the price of one single war.

Doesn’t that seem like a logical way to fight terrorism?

You create a utopia and the terrorists will simply disappear. Who is going to listen to some crazy fanatic and give up their lives against an all-powerful enemy, when that “enemy” is giving them everything they ever wanted with both hands?

A lot cheaper, and a lot more effective. The only thing this plan lacks is the ability of the United States to seize the reserves of one of the most oil rich nations on the earth. And we couldn’t have done it without that threat of terrorism.

Hmmmmmm.

How convenient.

Terrorism. A war on terrorism. A war on an abstract ideal. A war on the only method of retaliation that is left to the people who were not born to power, who were not born with money and influence and daddy in the white house to protect them from being prosecuted for insider trading.

You want the names of terrorists, I’ll give you some, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin. You can say anything you want about the ends justifying the means, but using guerilla warfare against the incumbent power, picking them off from hidden sniper positions as they walked exposed through the fields, is terrorism. You can’t escape it, that’s what it was.

So maybe you could argue that it is un-American to declare a war on terrorism. Maybe that anybody who does so should be impeached. Maybe the very suggestion of such an act is against everything that America stands for.

Or maybe you could sit back, and watch George W. Bush take away your civil rights, and continue his illegal actions against Iraq, and get richer and richer. Because the only thing that matters is getting rich. That justifies everything. And maybe if you listen to Rush Limbaugh tell you that it is ok enough times, it will drown out the screams of your own unborn children. The same children who, through your inaction, you have just sentenced to a live of dictatorial oppression.

We have a due process that is overdue. Impeach George W. Bush.
