Originally started as a joint project between two writers, the then titled Beast Wars 2: The Genesis Saga was to chronicle the adventures of a group of Maximals on earth searching for Optimus Primal during post-Beast Wars. The series was to be part one of a three series trilogy. Soon after, the planet was changed to another planet in the Milky Way due to conflicts that it might have with the original Beast Wars television series. Then came a website for the second incarnation, posted on the web on 6/10/00 using Homestead page builder. That site has long since been taken off the web.

Those two background series were very much different from the one on this website today. This section of the site shall serve as a display for the background that make up, this series; the third revamp. Although a few things remained the same, changes were made and can be seen clearly. Such as, the Maximal ship was originally known as "The Venture" and the Predacon ship was known as "Malice"

Instead of using the bat Optimus Primal, the writers choose to use the basic sized Optimus Minor and pumped up and altered stats, before it was finally changed to the bat version of Optimus Primal. Here are his tech specs.

Possessing superior balance and climbing abilities, this highly intelligent cyber-primate must learn to control hostile instincts - a side effect of Negatron’s experiments and a ferocious advantage in battle. The Predacons learned quickly that Optimus Minor’s presence is no laughing matter.
