In order to save writeing conversations between Kim and Velvet twice (once in Kona and then in translation) all will be directly translated.

Kim picked up a few more items for her trip and placed them into her backpack while Velvet tryed to convince her that she needed to take her hide chew (which wouldnt have been so bad if it wasn't half a meter long and partly gnawed).
"Velvet we wont be long" pleaded Kim. She was dressed in her normal wear since arriveing to the Cresent, brown Gracer hide boots, gray/blue trousers and a sky blue rap top, her Enra cloak was placed at the top of her pack, she couldn't travel wearing it.

"why are we going?" Asked Velvet, who up till now was just excited on going on her first Jump
"we are visting an old friend of mine, Iv got a book of his that needs returning" with that she pulled out what was clearly a book covered in what looked like Enra cloth but unlike the cloak the lighting that danced over it was a briliant gold.
"Can i see it?" Velvet reached up to get a better look
"Quick" She said, with an unusual serious tone to her voice, Velvet took note of it and was very careful.

Peeling back the cloth revealed an old looking book bound in black hide, nothing perticualy special one would think and the young derraka would have lost interest had Kim not open it. The pages were old and stained with time yet it was the writing that she saw first, dancing gold light like sunlight on rippling water coverd the pages but even Velvet knew it was writing.
Kim quickly closed the book and recoved it, the look on her face stoped her Derraka from protesting.

The stars were out that night yet it would be another hour till the blue moon of this world would rise above the easten tip of the Range. The half light left the land dark and still, just right to make a Jump without being seen.

Kim, pack secure and her hair tide back, looked out of the large "window" hole in her room wall that opened to the vally below. She breathed in the cool, fragrant night air and swung one leg out the window and onto the narrow legde outside.
"Velvet come on then" said Kim sitting on the edge of the hole, Velvet did'nt need telling twice and climed up on to her lap "Remember what i said, hold on tight" she gave a smile and a nod and proceeded to hold on, her tail rapped around her keepers waist and her head against her chest, listening to their matching heartbeats.
Kim stroked her Derraka's head and swung her other leg over. Standing up she then, without hesitation stepped off yet was gone before she had even began to fall, had enyone been watching they would have seen merly a ripple in the air.

With a movement much like steping down from a high ledge Kim, her Derraka in her arms, found herself in a wooded glade. The smell of pine surrounded them and a large bright moon shone above, casting almost as much light as a sunny day.

Once Velvet was down Kim quickly pulled out and put on her Enra cloak, the blue glowing appering every where she touched it, though Velvet cocked her head when she saw her Keeper pulling the cloak's hood up and sealing the frount completly, she could feel Kim's tension and looked around for and danger but seeing none she leaned against her to give comfort.
Kim looked down at her Derraka and smiled beneath the clock's hood, pulling back one sleave and making a twisting movement with her hand a small glowing orb formed just above her palm, a few more hand gestures coursed the orb to grow to about the size of a football with pattens of colour imprinted on its surface, it gently rotated in mid air. Velvet watched yet was not amazed by what she saw, Kim would often produce small balls of light for her to play with and catch yet this ball seemed to be of interest to her Keeper, she watched with more curiosity as Kim studied the patterned surface.
A quick wipeing movemet dispeled the orb and Kim pulled her sleave back down
"Right it looks like we head in that direction" Kim said pointing in a direction just right of where the moon was begining to make its decent, it looked no diffrent to any other direction but Velvet trusted her Keeper and walked close to her side without a word though to her she felt as if she was heading just deeper in to the wood and this closenss of the trees was not something she was used too, or liked. Feeling the young Derraka's dislike of the wood Kim reassured Velvet that they would be out of the wood in no time and in a minute or two they were and on to a large over grown dirt path that or though was clear did not look as if it had been used in a while.

*****************************

The two followed the path that they soon realised was actualy a road, its edges had been retaken by the forest. Where in the forest it was Velvet that felt tense here on this open road bordered by the half shadowed pines Kim grew more nervous, her pace quickened and pulling the cloak tighter she kept her head scaning the shadows for any movement. Velvet was unsure of her Keeper's behaviour "had she not said she was meeting a friend?" thought Velvet but before she could ask what was the matter she saw where they were heading too.

Just becomeing visble from round a bend a gothic style castal came into view, not a very large one but still pritty big with its five spiers and heavy looking front gate. "Why dosnt it suprise me" said Kim, more to her self then Velvet "he never was one to keep his head down" Follow the story into the castle...
