Katara and her brother, Sokka, were the people who found the Avatar, Aang, one day while fishing. They had discovered him frozen inside a giant iceberg. She busted the ice with Sokka's club and aroused the Avatar from his long sleep. They brought Aang and his flying bisson Appa back to their village and gave them food and a place to sleep. After the Fire Nation tried to take Aang away, she and her brother followed after them. They rescued Aang and since then have never left his side. Katara has a slim body. She is built just like any other normal girl of her age. She has long brown hair that is braided where her hair line ends. She has two strands of hair that hang from above her forehead and tie back into her braid. She has slightly tanned skin and deep blue eyes. Katara wears typical Water Tribe clothes. They are blue, black, and white. The clothes are thick to keep out the cold and come in two layers so that she can shed one when the weather gets warmer. Her main weapon is her Waterbending skills. She uses the nearest water source to her such as a pond, ocean, river, creek, glass, etc. She carries a water pouch with her just in case there isn't a close enough water source for her to use. Katara is very mature for her age. She doesn't rush into things without thinking them through. She finds her logic to be right and argues her points. She thinks fast and acts with precision. Katara keeps Sokka's large ego under control and keeps Aang out of serious trouble. She is pretty much like a mother hen. Her main means of transportation is on Aang's flying bisson. Her enemies are the Fire Nation in general. She fights them in order to keep Aang safe. She also harbors a slight grudge against the Fire Nation because they killed her mother. She doesn't let her grudge really get in the way, though. |
