Gran Gran first met the Avatar when her two grandchildren, Sokka and Katara, brought him back with them from their fishing trip. She was skeptical of him at first and didn't exactly trust him. After the Fire Nation took Aang away, she began to believe in him and she sent Katara and Sokka to save him and keep him safe. Gran Gran is old and has been taking care of Katara and Sokka for a while now. She's been helping watch over them since their mother died and has been taking care of them on her own since their father left to help fight the war with the Earth Kingdom. She is built like any other lady of her age would be. She has long grey hair that is pulled into a pony tail in the back. She also has two strands of hair that hand from above her forehead down to her pony tail in the back. She has icey blue eyes and dark skin. She wears typical Water Tribe clothes. They are blue, black, and white. Gran Gran may be a member of the Souther Water Tribe but she is not a Waterbender. She doesn't fight at all. She tends to look after things at home and take care of everyone else. She is the eldest member the her tribe. Gran Gran is a very hopeful person. She gained even more hope when she found out the Avatar had returned. She is a caretaker and loves her two grandchildren deeply. Her enemy would be the Fire Nation because her son is fighting them and because they had killer her daugher-in-law. She also despises them because her two grandchildren are fighting them alongside Aang.
