Aloriastana
Aloriastana stands at 5'4, with a toned body, though not overly muscular, like
an ameteur athlete. Long raven black hair falls past her shoulders. Brown eyes
look out at you, flecked with green, twinkling like a star at night.
Deep blue robes, nearly black, cover her toned form. A wry smile is on her face.
Aloriastana, her friends refer to her as "Aloria", was born a noble in the city of
Arabel in the Cormyr nation. Her mother, Analatanaiasta, died while giving birth
four years later to another daughter, Aloria's younger sister, Alunala D'gleece.
Her father, Dalmon D'gleece, was a noble and Duke of Cormyr. While not
possessing land (except the land the family manor was built upon), he made
a small fortune through the families trading company stationed in tents along
the outer wall of Arabel. It mainly specilized in sale of agriculturial supplies
and equipment, most of which went to Immersea and surrounding farms, as well
as other merchant suppliers.
Unfortunately, most of this family wealth was lost to her fathers gambling
habits, of which he certainly didn't seem to have Tymora's blessings. In the end,
he was killed by an unknown party, presumably from debts or a gaming dispute,
the killer was never apprehended. Aloria was sixteen at the time.
With the death of the father, she inheriated the family estate, a large manor and
the family business (at the time, which was in debt). Of course, she also
inherited hers fathers title and is now Duchess Aloriasta D'gleece. She took the
reigns of this business and turned it around, paying off her fathers debts and
earning enough money to cover operational costs and still have some left over.
Since then, the family recovered through the steady income, though not near the
height that it once was.
Aloria, like her mother, worships Selune, the Moonmaiden. Often she would
slip out of the gates of Arabel past dark, when the Purple Dragons of Arabel
looked the other way and sleep out under the stars away from the light of the
city.
Despite this, she is well informed with matters of city and state mostly because
of her teachings as a child. She is an expert on ancient history (cormyrian),
heraldry and ettiquite - though the latter she tends to use as a tool more than any
attachment to it.
A few months ago, while looking to the stars and consulting their positions and
meaning, she was urged by Our Lady of Silver (Selune) to head out and follow
the Ratans-star. Since she had never left Cormyr, she delayed in this only to
have her sister fall ill several days later. After consulting the stars once more,
she head out... Following the star and away from the safety of Cormyr.
A messenger reached her, before leaving the borders of Cormyr, that her sister
had made a miraculous recovery.
So now she rides, heading to the star.
