It's safe to say that all of you recall how the second season ended and maybe you wonder what happens in the 25 years that follow. Well now we know.
Ten years after the defeat of MaloMyotismon another evil force appeared. Thanks to the efforts of a group of five Digidestined, however, the evil was reduced to nothing more than a red mass called Chaos. It was sent to the second Digi-world and one of the Digi-Destined, Ryo, went with it. But the second Digi-world had a strange effect on the Chaos. It destroyed any digitalthing it touched and it could turn into whatever it pleased. Azoolongmon and Zhuqiaomon went to the second Digi-world to choose new Digi-Destined Everyone in this dimention was capable of training digimon but six were special and as you know, the first two were Rika and Henry although they wouldn't become tamers for nine more years.
Nine years pass. another evil force appears and locks away the other two Digimon Gaurdians. Eternamon and myself were released into this dimension while Impmon and Calumon were released into the second. Eternamon chose four childrenand their digimon. She would've chosen more but the evil didn't seem very powerful.
The children fought bravly but they failed again and again. In the end they combined their D-2s and defeated the evil force. However, the D-2s were connected incorrectly. The D-2 formed a force of pure evil and a force of pure good dividing the digiworld and leaving the Digimon unable to detect a difference between good and evil. Eternamon deactived all the D-3s in the world except for eight which belonged to humans who contrasted with the personalities of their digimon forming perfect yin & yang. Eternamon had made the mistake of underestimating the force of evil before; the mistake would not be made again.
