The Voltarum, as described in the history section, has recently come out of a rather long isolationist period.  As such, international relationships are mostly in the beginning stages, but developing quickly.
 

The Allies

• Member of the United Nations
• Member of the Allied Antarctic Nations
• Member of the Woodstock Pact

Antarctica

All Antarctic nations have closed ties to each other, and are at least considered neutral.  Members of the AAN only need to fly the Antarctic flag, symbolizing their membership. Very close ties are held with the following nations:

• Japanese Antarctica - geographical neighbor, The Volt arum and J.A. have entered into several joint defensive and offensive military operations, most recently against the C A D.  In addition, there is a vast connection of intersecting railways between the two countries.  Together these countries, along with Vastiva, comprise a vast navy protecting the "northern" Antarctic coastline.
• Vastiva - just east of J.A., Vastiva and The Voltarum have close economic ties to each other, particularly in the cheese sector.  In addition, one of the Voltarum's most popular shows, Natural Selection, was filmed on Vastivian soil.
• Athani - A small island nation on the other side of the continent, Athani is a capitalist country that is a huge trading partner with The Voltarum.

International

The Woodstock Pact offers a small, rather intimate pact of nations dedicated to human rights and all that is just.  Economic, military, and other ties exists between the Voltarum and these nations:

• Sarzonia - founder of the Woodstock Pact, its capital of Woodstock holds the Pact's headquarters.
• Pacitalia - member of the Pact, the Voltarum maintains a working naval base adjacent to their territory.
• Isselmere-Nieland - member of the Pact, The Voltarum is set to begin commercial dealings regarding naval expanse and upgrade.
• Praetonia - member of the Pact.
• Inkana - member of the Pact.

Other Allies

• Former Soviet Mafia - A close ally of Japanese Antarctica, the Voltarum has allied with this nation on a few joint military operations.

The Enemies
 

There are few nations that The Voltaru have had conflicts with, given its long isolationist attitude.  There are a few nations, however, that have drawn the eye of The Voltarum military, and the disapproval of the Voltaru leadership.

• Doomingsland - several confrontations have transpired between Voltaru and Doomingslandian troops, including a blockade of the Doomingsland home continent of the C A D.  Imperialistic attitudes are mainly at fault, as The Voltarum has condemned Doomingsland foreign policy many times in the past.  An embargo has been placed on Doomingsland, and in addition all her products are illegal in The Voltarum.
• Roach-Busters - Involvement with Doomingsland and the C A D brought this nation to the Voltaru attention, and the gross human rights violations along with the provocation of military operations with members of the Woodstock Pact have placed Roach-Busters squarely as an enemy of The Voltarum.  An embargo has been placed on Roach-Busters as well.
• Borman Empire - More involvement with the C A D, although no direct military involvement or contact in some time.
