The QE 2 can carry 1660 passengers. It can still be seen today. It cruises from Southampton to New York in the summer and in the winter it goes to Panema canal. It is smaller than the other two Queen Elizabeth ships. It was built in 1969. Most liners, like the QE2 are like floating hotels. You can even travel on the QE2 today. The QE2's name is short for the Queen Elizabeth the second. Also, there is a hospital called the Queen Elizabeth. It was last refurbished in 1996.

The Queen Elizabeth 2, often called "the QE2," is the flagship of the Cunard Line. It is considered the last of the great transatlantic liners. The ship was first built on the River Clyde.

The "2" in the name makes her different from the first ship the RMS. Queen Elizabeth, which was named for Queen Elizabeth in the United Kingdom who was Queen when the first Queen Elizabeth ship was built. The name of the QE2 was named after the present queen (Queen Elizabeth 2).

In 1972, the QE2 was a bomb threat. At 70,327 tons and 963 feet (294m), with a top speed of 32.5 knots, she is also one of the largest and fastest passenger vessels afloat. It travels sometimes all over the world and is classified as a cruise liner. It is made of

metal and is a little bit like the titanic.
