EDUCATION ACROSS THE LIFE Afterschool Program/Summer Camp The After School Program is held at SEAMAAC. A supervisor and counselors assist children with homework, tutor them in various subjects and provide drug and alcohol abuse prevention education. They also involve the children in a variety of artistic and athletic activities. During the summer, SEAMAAC offers a six-week camp. In cooperation with Philadelphia Reads, Bridging the Gap and several other organizations, the camp offers an enriching experience for the children. Children participate in academic, artistic and athletic activities. Once a week, campers go on interesting and educational field trips. During summer 2001, the camp served 55 children at two sites: one at SEAMAAC in west Philadelphia and one at the Cambodian American Seniors Association (CASA) in south Philadelphia. The camp was extremely popular and enjoyed a 100% retention rate. Than Lonh, Supervisor, tlonh@seamaac.org Adult Basic Education (ABE) The ABE
