Birthdays and Candy

Joseph says:

"I also thought maybe we could give a note and maybe a piece of candy to everyone on their birthday, encouraging them and brightening up their day a little. (Again, what do you guys think?)"

• Bonita: "I like joe's idea of giving a note and something on people's birthday. I was actually thinking about that sophomore year, but never got around to voicing it or doing anything. Should we put someone in charge of doing that?"

• Andy: "I love the idea we should make each like really creative. Bible verses of encouragement something to fit their life then. You know. Oh we could write letter's of encouragement to those who are struggling. Offer help etc... if appropriate. All in the will of God"

• Jenni: "I was thinkin that the candy idea is really great... get tons from the states great idea i would be willing to do the birthday things..."

As for being in charge of the whole candy-birthday thing, we have one volunteer, JENNI...

• Joseph: "I think we should talk about things and get things going first, because we want the gifts/notes to be from all of us, and we haven't yet agreed on what to say or give. After a few weeks I think it'll be alright if Jenni takes charge of it. (thanks for volunteering Jenni.) Don't worry about the birthday list though, Mrs. Lopez in the HS office can give us one whenever we ask (they gave me one with the senior locker list last year, but I threw it away after I was done with it.)"

• Annemarie: "Sure . . .maybe it would be easier to talk about how we're gonna do this when we get together, though. I still haven't heard from the registrar about the birthday list either."

• Andy: "I like the idea of waiting to decide on who's in charge. The notes should be from us all or at least more than one person. However, it would be excellent to have one to oversee the organzation of this bday candy idea."
