Final Fantasy: Crystal
Wings; Good or Bad?
Mini-Review by Zelda Gamer Monthly
Well, I
downloaded this game, thinking it would be just like
other Final Fantasy fan games – good, but nothing like
Square’s games. This one beats some Final Fantasy’s out
of the water, and this is only a demo.
Sound: 9/10
Well, I’d have to say, this game pulls off
music perfectly. The only thing that bugs me is that
the battle music can get messed up. I really hope this
is fixed in later demos. Otherwise, everything else is
perfect.
Game play: 10/10
Ever played Final Fantasy 6? If you have, this is
better. The ATB meter is pulled off successfully, the
enemies have them too, and everything is perfect. The
menu looks like that of which you’d remember from many
other Final Fantasy favorites, such as FF8. There is
even save points, also looking great. Of course, the
game is stopped abruptly because it’s a demo.
Story: ?/10
Because this is a demo, the full story is not unveiled
yet.
Glitches: 10/10 There were no
glitches, as of yet. The demo is perfect, especially
the cut scenes.
Mechanics: 10/10
This game worked out perfectly. There are no grammar
errors, no spelling errors, and best of all no
abbreviations (like : ) or and 1337). The game has a
great cut scene in the beginning, and even one or two
more after that. The only thing that bugs me is the inn
scene. Well, when you get there, you’ll see, I don’t
want to ruin it.
Altogether: 49/50
Percent: 98%
A+
I highly recommend this
demo. You should download it and sit in a corner to
wait for the next demo.
