Megaman Review

Megaman

In 1988, there was a game released for the Nintendo game console. This game was called Megaman. The first of the series that started the whole Megaman craze and it left a good first impression. So, the budget allowed the programmers to make Megaman 2. And, that’s how it started...

Story – 0

Sorry to say folks, but you won’t find any more story in this game than in the instruction booklet. Basically, Megaman was a cleaning robot that was turned into a fighting robot to destroy the 6 robots that Dr. Wily stole from Dr. Light. Whoo. Nothing much here.

Music – 10

One word REVOLUTIONARY. This is BY FAR, the best Music for a game, of it’s time. New tunes everywhere you go and cool sound effects, and also…BOSS MUSIC! YAY! It really fits well with this one, and really gets you ready to beat some Robot Master booty.

Gameplay/Replay Value – 8

Really fun, and original. First of its kind, where kids could be a Robot! We all wanted to be a robot sometime right? RIGHT!?!? Jumping and shooting couldn’t have been any less simple while still being very intuitive. Replay though, I honestly am a Megaman Freak, and I didn’t want to come back to this game. You’ll know why in about 2 seconds.

Difficulty – 10

AHHHHHH! It would make even mighty Neptune himself give up and start crying. I honestly could not beat this game without throwing down my keyboard…I mean controller, about 13 times. I couldn’t help getting mad and I really wanted to give up. After a while, it starts to get to the point where you don’t care about the game anymore. This is why I didn’t want to replay the game EVER AGAIN.

Overall – 8/10

This is a great game, but only if you have a lot of time on your hands *sob* and you have A LOT of patience. A good game to keep with you through the ages.
