The Best Game in Town

John 10:10
 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

 

It you had a sure fire way to make several million dollars and could share the experience with a friend at no cost to you, would you tell them?

 

During the last men’s Bible study my pastor asked me why I evangelize.  He pretty much was able to anticipate what I was going to say.  I told the group it is because I love the people I am sharing with and want to tell they about the love and abundant life that comes from Jesus Christ.  It is an act of love.

 

The wrong answer would be I want to save them from Hell.  We do not evangelize that is the job of the Holy Spirit.  We cannot save anyone. Only Jesus can save.  We can only witness to the wonderful love of Jesus Christ and let the Spirit do the leading.  As the blind man healed by Jesus testified, “I was blind but now I see.[1]

 

We have the best game in town are you willing to tell others?

 

Father we are willing give us the words and the courage to tell others of your wonderful love through Jesus Christ. Amen
