“Not a Sparrow Falls”

Matthew 10:29-31
Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
   Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Teaching Aid – sing first verse his eye is on the sparrow

When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.

Refrain

I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.[1]

Have you heard the expression there is no I in team?  This is used as an example of the unselfish attitude one should have as a team player.  We have also heard the expression of sacrifice for the common good or the greater good.  God believes in unselfishness. He sacrificed his only Son for us.  But to God each individual is important.   God will move heaven and Earth and the chain of evens in entire nations to save one individual.  He has done it for me and he has done it for you even though you may not be aware of the circumstances.  Why because God loves you.   Jesus died for you in a personal way.  Christ would have come even if you were the only one needing saved. He loves you in a personal way. And he wants you to accept him as your savior in a person way.

Father we are grateful for your love.  Your eyes are on the sparrow.  Not a sparrow falls without your notice. Lord we know your love for us was personal.  You died for us in a personal way.  It was for each of us as individuals.  Lord we come the same way personal.  We repent and ask Jesus into our hearts. We personally make him Lord of our lives, and we personally desire fellowship with him Amen
