Welcome to DRAGONBALL Z  VS.  YAHOO
Site news:
Movie news: Wow, my inbox is packed full of new additions to the site that you fans have decided to contribute. I've got a messload of episode summaries and movie reviews that definitely need to get up. I'll try to get them all up as soon as possible, but there's a lot. If for some reason you sent one in, and it wasn't posted, its probably because we got so many doubles of the one you sent in. For instance, a lot of people are sending in summaries for the GT episodes that have come out, well I can't post 30 reviews all on episode 40. Well..maybe I can, just not right away. Anyway, expect those up soon. Now, I've found this poster that is rumored to be the new promotional pic for the Dragonball Z live action movie. From what Pojo.com has heard, this is completely fan art. Just so you guys know, there is no proof this is real. I just thought I might as well show you guys so you know.

Its getting harder and harder to find news that relates directly to dragonball these days, but I'm sure things will pick up soon. As far as I know, the only news with any relevance would be the rumor that Verne Troyer (Mini-Me; Austin Powers 2 & 3) would be playing Krillin in the Dragonball Z Live Action Movie. I highly doubt this..it just wouldn't make any sense, and it wouldn't be funny either. I don't have a personal choice for who would play Krillin, but In my opinion, it would be better to have a regular sized actor than try to find one that wouldn't fit the part, just for the size. Alright, I know that Verne is short, and bald, but he's too short. If he were to play somebody, i'd assume it would be Chou-tzu. Also, what kind of fighting ability would Verne Troyer have? With Chou-tzu, all he's gotta do is basically grab onto Nappa's back, and kaboom himself.

Ah well, Fox will do what Fox will do, besides, the characters are supposed to be around 18-20 in this movie, except for Vegeta and Nappa, and yet they got middle aged men booked for the parts...save Orlando Bloom. We also know that King Kai, Puar, and Oolong will all be CGI..too bad, I would have loved to see Danny Devito play King Kai if not Yajirobe.

Morgan Freeman (Lean on Me, Robin Hood, Sum of All Fears) Is the guy who's been rumored for Kami now. I think this is a perfect choice, if final. Just look at the guy, he would make a perfect Kami, plus he already has experience playing god. (Bruce Almighty) So who's gonna play Yamcha, Chou-tzu, Yajirobe? Who knows. There are also Rumors going around now that the film will just start from when Vegeta and Nappa land, which would suck. That would mean no King Kai at all, and they'd have to fill in the plot holes with cut-scenes that levae too much to the imagination. We can only wait and see

Release Information:
In other news, FUNi says that Dragonball GT sales have been skyrocketing since their release of the first four videos, and all have been on the top 10 video sales charts recently. If you like DBGT or never seen it, you can either pick these videos up, or simply wait about another year to see them on television.

There is no set date for when GT will hit the airwaves, but Toonami says that they'll air the last episode of Dragonball GT before starting back at episode #53. If you don't know which episode that is, its the one in the Ginyu saga where they try to summon the eternal dragon. Thats pretty far back and if you think about it, by the time they get through all the episodes back to the end, it'll be about a year. Once Toonami has done that, they'll air GT.

Oh, and another thing. Dragonball GT Ramifications and Preparation hit stores on July 15th. I still don't know when they'll air the first episodes however.

Video game news: Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been posting lately. My best friend is moving to Dallas and my other best friend and I have been trying to spend time with him. We've known eachother for 4 years, so it's a pretty big change for us. But anyway...onto some DBZ news...

GamePro recently featured Budokai 2 in it's magazine. They basically stated all of it's major changes from the original Budokai. The major changes are the graphics (which are now cel-shaded, to make the game look cartoon-like), the storyline which is now more in-depth, and there is one new mode added to the line up of gameplay modes. The mode is Dragon Mode. From what the magazine states, in Dragon Mode, you are appointed the task of forming a Z-Squad of 5 characters and search for the DragonBalls against other teams of A.I. The first to collect all of the DragonBalls wins. Also, as if that isn't enough, Atari and Dimp have been generous enough to enable fusions. Basically, we have the choice to fuse with characters, famous to the DBZ title such as Gotenks, Gogeta, and Vegetto. But in addition to that, we can fuse with other characters as well. For example, Tien and Yamcha will be able to fuse (supposedly, but then again it might just be an example that the writers used). But yeah, that's the basic gist of things in Budokai 2. There are a total of 34 characters in this title, adding 9 more characters (non-fusion) to the original arsenal of 23. The 9 characters are: Goten, Young Trunks, Teen Gohan, Videl, Majin Vegeta, Supreme Kai, Dabura, Android 20, and three forms of Buu. So expect alot from Dragonball Z - Budokai 2. Remember, it hits stores in December 2003. From the looks of it, it'll be worth the wait. That's all for now. I'll probably type up the two pages of the GamePro article or maybe scan the pages. Later everyone.
