Prelude To Rebellion

Months after Pioneer Two arrived by Ragol hunters were sent down to the planet (some to their doom, others to glory). The location of the Ruins and their meaning and hidden horrors were known to all, though it was not comforting. Dark Falz struck fear into many and only few took up the hunters cause and fought for the freedom of the people who were to live on this newfound planet.

The Guild, being first a proud orginisation, grew ever darker, corruption and rumour of internal conflict and hidden goings-on were rife, and Pioneer Two buzzed with malcontent. Clans of hunters had formed, partly to organize their ranks, partly so some would remain to tell the tale of a hunter lost (though few of those tales remain as their bearers were killed by Guild black teams). So Pioneer Two became a place of unrest, mistrust and conflict.

It was on a hot day, Pioneer Two's cooling system ran amok, that Daybreak built a pile of boxes near the checkrooms and stood upon it. Her Fomarl frame towered now above the gathered crowd, who were attracted by the noise. "He is dead!" She said. "Elkerian is dead. Killed on a guild mission. Many have died so, and many more will unless we unite and strike down those who pretend to guide us. They lead us to our death. The Guild must be stopped and we must govern our own."
Much dismay this caused among the crowd and the aether crackled with messages being sent. Clan leaders were informed of the one that spoke out against the guild (she was the first who had done this openly). Even the leaders of dark clans, that lived on the outer limits of Pioneer Two's supportive field became aware. Unrest grew and for days on end none would report to the Guild quarters.

Several days later Daybreak disappeared and was never seen again. The internal communication system, controled by the Guild, explained her death as a block-transportation accident. Many whispered she was last seen entering her quarters and thus wasn't anywhere near a transporter.

Daybreak however had a soul sister, Dawness, a member of the Green Fang Clan. Green Fang was a Clan of Newman Hunters and Forces, all female, lead by GunBitch, the only known Newman Ranger. Green Fang's leading ladies held counsil and decided to send a party to the Principal to discuss the matter of the Guilds darkening motif, and hopefully to see it replaced. Now the principal hadn't been seen in quite some time, some said he had been killed by the Guild and the whole of Pioneer was now in fact under the Guild's control. GunBitch led the representation of her Clan, recording before she went her intentions and complaints. She took with her one Newman Hunter, Odessa, and one Newman Force, Starlight. They never returned.

Dawness was left with the message GunBitch had recorded and instructions fro what should be done did they not return. Thus dawness set out for the outer limits, in search of a RAcaseal named HakTrix. HakTrix was reasonably well known, but notoriously hard to find. Most would pretend never to have heard of here, and more often than not Dawness would find herself violently expelled from places where she had dared ask after the Droid. Weeks Dawness searched when at last she found a man that would take her to HakTrix. In a dark converted storage bay she finally met HakTrix and explained her intent.
GunBitch' recording contained, beside her telling of the mission she was about to embark upon, a call to arms fro all the clan leaders, asking them to rebel against the guild and to avenge the death of so many. And most importantly to end the Guild rule over hunters once and for all.
HakTrix, intrigued stepped forward. Dawness was taken abck fir she looked like no Droid she had ever seen before, black and covered in spikes she looked like a puma standing on it's back legs, ready to pounce. "I will do this thing you ask, Newman woman" She said "Follow me."

Dawness followed the imposing form through a secret door into a room that looked like it was built a an over-frame for the black hacker. A small bent chair held her body, and she plugged herself into countless machines and asked Dawness for the memorecord of GunBitch last call. HakTrix cracked her way into Pioneer Two's master mainframe and from there sent the message to all those on Pioneer and broadcast it directly on the internal communication system. The rebellion had begun.

Erestrion, Pioneer Loremaster.
