Previous Story:
Leon is a lonely soldier who wanders around the world. His lover Roland, a woman thief of the Silk Road, died in his arms saying, "The man I love is the strongest man in the world." In order to fulfill her last words, he aspires to be the strongest man on earth.

DOA3 Story:
Leon entered the last "DOA World Tournament" to justify his lover's last words, only to be defeated. Memories of Roland still return to haunt him. The words of a woman with whom he saw death: they will not leave Leon alone. Leon declares, "I shall win this time," pledging his all upon the grave of a woman whose body lies buried beneath the desert floor.
