Glendale city is situated in Maricopa County , Arizona . According to 2000 census the city had a total population of 218,812. The Phoenix Coyotes team of NHL started playing here in December 2003. Even the Arizona Cardinals are building a stadium here and will move in 2006. The two Stadiums are part of the Westgate development plan which was brought up increase growth in the sparsely habituated Yucca district. There are 75,700 households out of which 39.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.5% are married couples living together, 12.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 28.2% are non-families. 21.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
