Point BreakBehold, happy is the man whom God corrects; therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole. (Job 5:17-18) Many of us who enjoy surfing have seen the 1991 movie Point Break with Keanu Reeves as the FBI agent and Patrick Swayze as the surfer/bank robber. God, the maker of all the waves, knows everything about us and in fact He knows our Point Break or breaking point. The bruising, wounding, injuring, crushing and melting process is designed to perfect us, not destroy us. The more God corrects us, the more we grow to be godly like Him. We may not understand why we go through certain setbacks or sufferings, and sometimes we create situations that God will use as a lesson to teach and reshape us. It does not mean God does not love us nor does it mean He has forsaken us. What it means is God loves us so much even to the point of teaching us a valuable lesson. In difficult times we must trust God to deliver us, and also to correct us and refine us in His image. We must learn and grow from every experience we face. If we cower in fear and have a pity party then we have not learned the correction that God has intended, and we are simply not trusting God. God is the Master Potter, and we are the clay. Gods got more Chambers of Secrets than Harry Potter. God bruises, yet He binds, God wounds but He also makes whole. Sometimes God breaks us to the point that all we can do is cry out to Him with our faith and trust that Hell deliver us. God wants us to trust Him for everything, He wants to be Number One in our lives and He wants to be our provision. We must endure the Growing Pains without any help from Alan Thicke. Establish our lives on God and His Word. Lean on Him for strength, so that when our faith is tested or were being stretched or corrected, well learn to be thankful. God is more than pleased when we finally understand how much He loves us that He will do everything He can to teach us. God loves us and is always teaching us, and He deserves all of our praise and worship. God is worthy, and we should never stop thanking Him for we are so blessed to have a loving Father, to have our free gift of salvation paid for by the Blood of Jesus, to have the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and to have the Word of God to build us up.Copyright © 2002 Eddy Ministries.
