My original design used a one-month calendar layout which looks very nice but I had to abandon it for three reasons.
- The movie title had to be placed in the browser status bar which is not an intuitive place for it and will cause problems with older browsers.
- The HTML code was very messy to look at and therefore difficult to modify.
- It is difficult to tell whether I saw one or two movies on a particular day without small, precise movements over the numbers in the date.
The current design is more user-friendly and more browser-friendly.
