Ao scramble
Scrambler is a word game played on aol. Basically, all you have to do is unscramble the word or phrase and type its correct spelling before anyone else in the room does. If you succeed, you earn points.
Don't go into a scrambler room unless you want to play scrambler.
Phaders are great in im's or other chat rooms, but tend to slow things down in scrambler - not to mention they are distracting.
When you enter a scrambler room, don't start immediately asking if there is a host. Take just a minute and observe. If there is a host, you will know in short time.
Don't continuously yell "3 Winners" or "States" or "Colors". MOST real hosts do not even consider having more than 1 winner - some will have 2. As for states and colors, they're fine topics for beginners, but lame topics for seasoned scramblers.
Now, if you're ready to play, you can usually find a game going on in the following rooms.
Regular scrambler option:
just the ordinary scrambler.
Backwards scrambler:
A lot tougher than regular scrambler, in order to get the answer correct you need to type the word given backwards. Ex if it says type "letter" backwards, you would have to type "rettel" kinda tough but fun.
Does Ao scramble have a virus?
If you have d/l it from this page then the answer is no. If you d/l it from somewhere else than i can't guarantee it. Purchase an anti-virus program and make sure for yourself.
Scrambler begginer stuff:
Enter a word in the word box: and enter a hint in the hint box. Click the start button.
In order to scroll the scores, click the prefs tab and click scroll scores.
If you want the scrambler always ontop, just check the box in the prefs tab.
Send Button:
Located on the game tab, instead of playing the game in the room, its a lot easier to play from that option.
Echo
Useless, just says exactly the same thing as the person you typed in.
Scrambler intermediate stuff:
Ok, so you've got basic hosting down. The next things to look at are:
Points
With this option, you can select what point values you wish to give for each time someone descrambles the word you typed to scramble. Under the Points box in prefs, if you click on "Single", every user gets 1 point per descramble. If you click on "Length", every user gets the length of the word(s) you typed to descramble (i.e. if you made the user descramble "Zelda is the best game ever", the user(s) who descramble it will get 22 points).
Winers
In this section, you can select how many winners to allow per scramble. Either click on One, Two, Three . It is recommended that you keep the number of winners proportional to the number of people in the room. Also, if you want to be a good host, only allow one winner.
Rescroll Button:
This button will rescroll the original scrambler screen that lists the word and the hint.
Stop Button:
If the scramblers just aren't getting it, or something else occurs, click on this button to stop the current scramble.
Scrambler Experienced Stuff:
Logs:
Open a log
Under the Logs tab, click on Load. This will bring up a dialog box where you select the log file you wish to use.
Saving a log
You can delete or add items to improve a log file or make a new one. Click the save button and it will save the new or improved log.
Pause button:
Located on the game tab, click on this button when you wish to say something in the room, or you just want to pause the log.
Resume button
Located on the game tab, after you are done typing into the room or doing whatever you needed to do to pause the log, click on this button and then the Start button to resume the log.
Auto Host
Located on the game tab, Usefull if your doing something afk, it will automatically goto the next word and start scrambling again when a when a word is gotten.
