II. Mettle
Because your form has been hardened against the dangers and threats of
the world, you gain an additional wound level, which is recorded on your
character sheet. You can temporarily lose and heal back this wound level
just like any other, and you use it as a second "Healthy".

III. Resilience
You are highly resistant to harm and injury from all sources, including
the traditional banes of your breed -- fire and sunlight. While excessive
or persistent forces can still bring an end to your immortal existence,
this does not come about easily. Whenever you suffer aggravated wounds,
you may try to reduce them to ordinary wounds once per wound level taken.
You must spend an appropriate Physical Trait (Stalwart, Resilient, etc.)
and win a Simple Test for each wound resisted. Thus, if you suffered three
aggravated wounds at once, you could attempt to reduce each of them seperately
to ordinary wounds by spending three appropriate Traits and winning three
Simple Tests.

IV. Temper
Just like Mettle, you gain an additional wound level, which is recorded
on your character sheet. You can temporarily lose and heal back this wound
level just like any other, and you use it as a third "Healthy".

V. Aegis
Your ability to survive the hostile forces of the world has surpassed mere
physical resilience; it takes a truly monumental and unrelenting force
to destroy you. In the face of annihilation, you can call upon deep reserves
of tenacity, enabling you to shrug off fatal injuries. When you suffer
a result in a challenge that would destroy you, or if you encounter a lethal
situation (such as direct exposure to sunlight), you may permanently expend
either three Physical or one Willpower Trait to avoid destruction. If directly
exposed to sunlight, you remain unharmed for five minutes. The damage is
not inflicted -- its results are ignored. Indeed, those witnessing this
Discipline often find it hard to believe that any creature could survive.
Many will assume the character is destroyed unless given cause to believe
otherwise.

VI. Marble Skin
With the use of this Discipline, you may attempt to bid normal wounds to
nothing with a simple test. Normal projectiles bounce off your skin. Your
skin appears as a whitish marble. You are a constant breech of the Masquerade.

VI. Armor of Vitality
Vampires are already formidable opponents in combat; those with Fortitude
are doubly so. This power toughens the Cainite's flesh to the hardness
of marble. Ordinary weapons shatter upon striking the vampire without causing
the slightest blemish to undead flesh.

VII. Bestow Vigor
This special power was developed by a Cappadocian scholar interested in
the relative endurance of creatures and individuals. With this ability,
the Cainite can endow another with some of her own preternatural stamina.
While so empowered the subject enjoys the full benefits of Fortitude, and
the vampire loses none of her own supernatural resistance.

VIII. Eternal Vigilance
Though vampiric legends disagree on a number of points, almost all support
the theory that the undead must take rest each day from dawn until sunset.
Even the most determined vampire cannot resist the arms of slumber during
daylight hours. A Cappadocian looking to ensure his continued existance
(and expand his research time) perfected this formidable power. A Cainite
mastering this application of Fortitude can remain active during daytime,
functioning almost as effectively as if it were darkest night. Note that
this doesn't give any further protection from the sun's effects beyond
Fortitude's normal benfits.
