Kam Heskin joined the cast of "Sunset Beach" in June 1998. Heskin was born in North Dakota and raised in Colorado.
After graduating from a small college in Minnesota, Heskin moved to Chicago and began modeling. On a model assignment in Japan, she landed a role in the movie, "Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer." Heskin moved to New York and signed with Wilhelmina modeling agency eventually gracing the pages of "Allure," "Mademoiselle," "Seventeen," and "Cosmopolitan." Heskin was chosen for a lead in a film directed by John Woo entitled "Blackjack." Soon after, she auditioned for the role of Caitlin on "Sunset Beach" in New York and was flown to Los Angles for a screen test. While about to return to New York on a flight, Heskin was paged by the flight attendant with the good news that she had received the part. She was escorted off the plane and began working that day.
