Read bring home the wine
Moms got the kids
And the house is all mine
I rushed through the day
And ran out the door
I had that old car
Just about floored
Scences from the up coming
evening ahead
Kept running and dancing around in my head
I saw her scantily clad
As she lodged on our bed
I stopped for the wine
I was making good time
As a pulled in the drive
I sure was surprised
The house was all dark
except for one light
Now that single window
had never seemed so bright
I rushed in the house

I lay awake in the early morning hours
Wrapped up in his loving arms
I think about the night we shared
And wonder if I dare to care

I watch him breath, I hear him sigh
he snuggles deeper by my side
The sun is casting a fiery glow
Open this man I have come to know
he never looked as handsome to me
As he does now as I watch him sleep
I realize now way deep inside
That I will always want him by my side
though the night brought wild passion
I realize what I feel now is much more lasting
A tender feeling deep down in my soul
A feeling I know will grow and grow
And through the years as we grow old
and should the truth be really told
Though the passion will endure
