Name: "Harry Georgatos"The '70's was the decade when films mattered and had something to say. Even though BLOW OUT came out in '81 for me it was the end of the Hollywood new wave with DePalma's BLOW OUT. The Hollywood blockbusters changed Hollywood into a cash grab of greed. WINTER KILLS is a good companion piece to BLOW OUT. Both these films were photographed by Vilmos Zsigmond. THE PARALLAX VIEW for me is the stand out and most disturbing film of that decade! If one film needs a modern day remake in today's private contract assassins in creating patsies for contract killing through human engineering it's THE PARALLAX VIEW. Brian DePalma would have been a good choice for a remake of THE PARALLAX VIEW.
