Name: "Harry Georgatos "DOMINO is second tier de Palma. Second tier De Palma sure beats the hell out of most filmmakers. All the trademarks of the director are here in this film for the fans. The manipulation of technology. Split diopter, split screen, slow motion, references to Hitchcock. DOMINO isn't on the level of DRESSED TO KILL or BLOW OUT but good enough to have the interest for people who can tell the difference of watching a film from a serious filmmaker then someone taking a quick paycheck. DOMINO is a good B movie.

"When you reach a certain age, you becomes an adult, thus more impervious to influences and classical references, fortunately. Some directors never grow up and that's a pity. But you have to learn to imitate less over time."

The De Palma project is about more than influences and references-- it's been about cinematic and cultural dialogue from the start. It's certainly never been about imitation.

Name: "JJ"Notice the very deliberate change in color palatte from cool blue to hot red. I'd have to see the movie again to understand why - or maybe one of you smarty-pants can fill me in. ;)
