Name: "Leonard Shelby"Years ago, I've read - on Internet I think - about Argento and De Palma talking about this. From what I remember, Argento said De Palma "stole" his idea and De Palma finally admitting it but saying he made it better. I could be wrong as it is an old memory. Would be cool to find the source...Does this ring some bell to anyone ?

Name: "Geoff"Yes, you are remembering it right-- I don't recall where the story was published, but the quote was from Argento-- Argento was saying that whenever he ran into De Palma, Argento would always say something about it, and finally one day he was relentless, apparently, and De Palma finally said, okay, yes, but I made it better. That's according to Argento.
