Name: "harry georgatos"I've grown to respect REDACTED with the repeated viewings as it is the only anti-war film made within this conflict. Films such as THE HURT LOCKER and ZERO DARK THIRTY maybe accomplished filmmaking but are pro-war that lack a strong point-of-view that REDACTED has. Still it would have been good if REDACTED abandoned it's collage of video formats and made a linear film similar to the superior and greatest war film that was CASUALTIES OF WAR. COW wasn't afraid to show the violence perpertrated on the young Vietnamese girl where in REDACTED the rape and murder of this Iraqi girl and family members happens offscreen. It seemed like REDACTED was redacting itself. Still the film has to be respected for it's antiwar position that a plethora of other films on the war on terror don't have. Making a war film where American troops are shown in a bad light is box office poison in the USA. Such filmmakers are condemned and the far Right media went out of it's way to crucify De Palma. Americans want propoganda along the lines of AMERICAN SNIPER!
