2. Is Jesus Christ greater or equal to Muhammed, Budda, Ghandi?

Muhammed: was an orphan who was adopted. He had a disorder that his mom likened to demon possession. His dad was a traveler and this helped Muhammed have lots of contact with Christians and Jews. He wrote the Koran (additional book to the Bible) after a vision from Gabriel. Islam is a works based religion that teaches that Jesus wasn't God, that He didn't die. They have a common bond with the Roman Catholic church in that they came through Abraham, pray a rosary and have a service for the dead.

Budda: Means enlightened one. As a child he lived a wealthy life. He got married, had a child and left them to be enlightened. He lived on a diet of 1 grain of rice per day and even ate his own excrement. There is believed to be no heaven, hell or sin. The goal is to go through eight steps to reach nirvana. Nirvana means "blow out" in which all your desires are taken away.

Gandhi: Indian nationalist and Hindu spiritualist leader. The Hindu spiritual book is the Vedas "wise sayings" They worship 33 million gods.

The Mormon will give you the answer that you probably want to hear: Jesus is the Creator, the Author of salvation, the Messiah, Jehovah, the I am, etc. However, that is because of eternal progression. The Mormons believe that Jesus is a created being(through sexual intercourse between God and Mary), a saved being, the brother of Satan. It has also been taught that Jesus was a polygamist who was married to Martha and Mary.

The Mormons also believe that we, like the Father and Jesus, were all pre-existing spirits before we came to earth. In order to become like God, we have to come down to earth to work out our salvation, just as the Father and Son did. They teach that Adams fall in the garden was a "fall upward" and was not sinful but necessary for the propagation of the human race.

However the Bible says the following:

A. All men were created by God and have no prior existence before their earthly life. Genesis 2:18-25 and Job 38:1-7

B. Adam's sin in the garden caused spiritual and physical death for all people. Genesis 3:16-24 and Romans 5:12-21.

Lorenzo Snow, a President of the Mormon church, once said "as man now is, God once was: as God is now, man may be". They will try to get past this one but will admit that God the Father experienced a period of mortality. What they are saying in plain English is that God was a man and is now God. You can be god too! They also claim that God the Father has wives. However the Bible clearly teaches that:

A. God is Spirit. John 4:24 He is not man Job 9:32, Numbers 23:19, Hosea 1:9

B. God has no wife and stands alone. Isaiah 46:9 and John 1

C. God did not have physical sex with Mary to conceive Jesus. Matthew 1:18-25

D. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8

The Mormons believe that because Jesus was a Spirit before He came down to earth, He is considered to have worked out His salvation and is now in heaven with a glorified body of flesh and bones! Since both He and the rest of the population were supposed to be pre-existing spirits, Jesus is referred to as an elder brother. They also consider Satan to be a brother of Jesus. So if Muhammed, Budda and Ghandi were Mormon baptized, they would be considered gods and brothers of Jesus, thus the Mormon would see the three as equal to Jesus.

They will pound you with literature that quotes Psalm 82:6 "I said you are gods, and all of you are sons of the most high" and John 10:34-35 where Jesus repeats the verse. However they fail to read the next verse in Psalm 82:7 "Nevertheless you will die like men, and fall like any of the princes". I could say the Bible says there is no God and quote Psalm 14:1. But the verse says that "The fool said in his heart, There is no God...". God appointed the Israel judges as authorities on earth and were in a sense "sons of God". However God does make it clear of their mortality.

Don't let this concept of eternal progression fool you. God says this about Satan In Isaiah 14:12-14 ""How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you have weakened the nations! You said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High, Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit".

Notice the 'I wills...' -- 'I will make myself like the Most High', 'I will be like God'. In Revelation19:10 Satan is thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, AKA Hell. So much for the god wanna be and brother of Jesus! If Mormons think they are going to be god and spend eternity with God, Himself, they are in trouble. God would not allow this sinful attitude with Satan, He will not allow it with humans. But thats why the Lord Jesus has commanded us to evangelize, so they can hear the truth.

The fact is there is only one God. Read on:

Test Your Bible Knowledge!

Who raised Jesus from the dead? The Father (Romans 6:4, Acts 3:26; 1 Thessalonians 1:10)? The Son (John 2:19-21; 10:17-18? The Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11)? Or God (Hebrews 13:20; Acts 13:30; 17:31)?

Who does the Bible say is God? The Father (Ephesians 4:6)? The Son (Titus 2:13, John 1:1; John 20:28)? The Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3,4)? God (Deuteronomy 4:35)?

Who created the world? The Father (John 14:2)? The Son (Colossians 1:16-17; John 1:1-3)? The Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 104:30)? Or God (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 11:3)?

Who saves man? The Father (1 Peter 1:3)? The Son (John 5:21;4:14)? The Holy Spirit (John 3:6; Titus 3:5)? Or God (1 John 3:9)?

Who Justifies Man? The Father (Jeremiah 23:6)? The Son (Romans 5:9)? The Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:11; Galatians 5:5)? Or God (Romans 4:6; 9:33)?

However the Mormons deny the Trinity doctrine of One God in favor of polytheism, the worship of more than one God.
