He sat up on one elbow and looked at her. She smiled and he brushed back her hair. "Tired?" "Well, a little", she said. "Oh come on, Jen, you can't be tired. There is so much we still have to do", he said and leaned down and kissed her, the sweetest softest kiss while tracing a finger from her throat down her stomach. He laid down again and pulled her into his arms and they soon fell asleep. Darren probably from sheer exhaustion. And Jennifer, well, Jennifer was in total ecstasy and fell into a happy sound sleep on Darren's shoulder with a smile on her face.
Jennifer woke up and had that sudden start that she didn't know where she was. Then, it all came flooding back. Coming up here with him, kissing so wildly, all the touching......she smiled and sat up quietly to look down at him. God, he's so gorgeous. He looked like a little boy when he slept. And he also looked like an angel. She leaned down and kissed him on the forehead. He stirred a bit, but went back to sleep.
She took this opportunity to get up and explore a bit and be nosy. She got up quietly, pulled a sheet from the bed, wrapped it around her and walked around. The view from this room was spectacular. All the city lights pouring into the room. She walked out into the living room and saw some of his stuff around. There were scraps of paper with song lists, people's numbers on pieces of paper, and a postcard with a picture of Brisbane, that was all beaten up. She turned it over, but it was blank. She concluded he must carry this around to remind him of home. He seemed to be a very emotional person. She thought that was the case just from his lyrics and the way he sang a song. But, now she could see that it was true.
She continued to poke around and saw a few tapes and CD's laying by the stereo. Hmm, I wonder what HE listens to? She thumbed through them and of course, found U2, his favorite, Seal, INXS, The Beach Boys (strange choice!) and a Savage Garden CD with a plain white cover that just said "DEMO - SAVAGE GARDEN". Do I dare, she thought?
She looked over her shoulder and there was silence and no sign of Darren. So she slipped it out of the case and put the stereo on. She fumbled with knobs until she found "CD" and slipped it in. Where was volume, oh shit, look, look!! She found it and turned it way down. Out from the speakers came the melodic velvet that was Darren. She sat on the floor right next to the speakers listening. It was a very raw CD of them, people were talking, she could hear him, instructions from a sound booth, laughing. Then a very primitive "I Want You", which was completely different from the one she knew. Much slower, and she liked it. His voice, oh God, his voice. This song sounded so different when it was slow. It was so.....so......erotic. The way he says "I want you....." She curled up close to the speaker and listened with her eyes closed and that's why she didn't hear Darren............
