Having lived her first 22 years in various small Wisconsin towns, REBECCA WHELAN moved in 1997 to the Bary Area to work towards a Ph.D. inChemistry at Stanford. She might be done with that endeavor sometime in 2015. At a tender age she discovered her mom's Norton's Anthology of English literature, and fell hard for William Blake, John Donne, the Brownings, and T.S. Eliot. She's been reading (and, sproadicaly,writing) ever since. Currently, she's dissatisfied with poetry as a genre, but that could change
